Studied biology in Bochum, Master's thesis at the Chair of Biodiversity and Evolution of Plants on the possibilities of ecological school excursions in the South Westphalian Mountains. Former course supervisor for identification exercises of animals and plants, leader for zoological beginner excursions at the Ruhr University Bochum. Volunteer mapper and data validator for the NRW Amphibians and Reptiles Working Group (Arbeitskreis Amphibien und Reptilien NRW). Teacher of biology, mathematics and history at the Gymnasium Eringerfeld in the district of Soest. Working on a new local herpetofauna of the district of Soest since 2021.
