I'm a recent import to NZ (2003) however the Larson family history goes back 3 generations in Otago and Sweden prior to that. I was born and raised in Lincoln, England and loved every minute of it.

My interest in wildlife has been constant all my life. From feeding the vast variety of garden visiting birds in the UK, to peering into wild ponds in search of toads, frogs, newts and other aquatic life.

My study at home is affectionately know as "froggy's den".

I have found the wildlife in NZ to be elusive, but no less interesting. To be fair, the Canterbury Plains are a difficult environment for "wild" life, but out there in the wild places, the life is more interesting.
