I'm a recovering teacher of high school and college biology back in my home state of Indiana. After returning to school to study environmental science and public affairs, I'm trying to construct a fresh-air career in wildlife/habitat management and exploring the diversity at each stop.

I've spent recent seasons with federal and state agencies monitoring endangered Piping Plovers in the Michigan UP, multitasking as an urban wildlife intern in Austin, and collecting tissue samples for detection of chronic wasting disease in south central Texas cervids.

Thanks for helping me get acquainted with new plant and animal communities. I'm practicing the bird IDs usually but learning most of the plants and insects for the first time, so really I appreciate identifications, corrections, and diagnostic comments on my observations.
