I've been a birder for many years. I've also always been interested in coastal wildlife. For several years now I've been replacing the plants in my urban backyard with native plants, especially wildflowers. I've been growing wildflowers from seed I save from native plants I purchased. I like using iNaturalist to help me ID wildflowers that I see on hikes and insects that visit the flowers.
