I am an amateur naturalist still learning everyday. Although I have been interested in the environment since I was a child, I've had no real formal training until I recently completed the Tennessee Naturalist Program. My area of interest is in the Southeast US, with a primary focus on the region where I live (SE TN/ NE GA) and my home state, Florida. I'm committed to helping increase the biodiversity in my region by actively turning my property into a place that is more and more attractive to native wildlife. I love birding and learning about native plant and animal species. I've listed my home property on Doug Tallamy's Homegrown National Park website. It's a concept I strongly believe in and hope that others join the movement.
