Benjamin Maples Curator

I am an undergraduate Entomology student at the University of California, Davis. I often enjoy exploring whatever place I am in for whatever wild things I find, to watch them as they do and understand what they do, how they do, why they do. I especially am interested in the strangest of animals, which are often invertebrates.

I have worked a bit with cannibalism in the true bug Geocoris pallens, and have observed G. punctipes and G. atricolor in the process.

Comments, identifications, and questions on my observations are always welcome and appreciated!

Current profile picture: a dead-leaf-mimicking mantis nymph (Stenophylla sp.)from Madre de Dios, Peru, on 3 Jan 2017. (No observation yet.)
