I am an ecologist whose taxonomic expertise is largely in arid-western vascular plants and vertebrates. I now live in Central Maine with @folkbotanist, our lovely lagomorph Isadore, and Pippa the poodle. I'm trying to absorb as much about species identifications and natural history as I can when I'm not outdoors. Consequently, I'll sometimes comment on an observation that I can't identify to receive notifications on the thread as it's figured out.
