I love the challenge of photographing wildlife in their natural habitat.  In 2017, I started birding due to a challenge to see and photograph 150 species in Nebraska.  Since then, I have birded every county in Nebraska and am working on a new challenge to bird in all 50 states.   True to the initial challenge, I have a picture of every species and hybrid I have seen in Nebraska and the United States.  

After years of birding, I started noting other wildlife I saw on my eBird checklists.  In 2023, I started using iNaturalist to log these other observations. 

Besides being a birder, I am also a gardener.  In 2023, I also started logging all the visitors I see in my gardens.
