Geison Mesquita is a biologist, graduated in Biological Science from the Federal University of Maranhão, master from Barcelona University and PhD in Biodiversity Conservation from Barcelona Autònoma University. He is currently a researcher at the Instituto Baguaçu de Pesquisa em Biodiversidade in Brazil active in the field of biodiversity and biological conservation working with biodiversity and feasibility conservation in neotropical areas, and the use of technologies as Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) emphasizing the fauna conservation and its relationship with the sustainability and ecosystem services; and Protected Areas Supervisor of Maranhão State in Brazil. Currently developing methodologies with the use of new technologies asUAS (Unmanned Aerial System) to study the wildlife in special large mammals of the Amazon and Cerrado biome.
