Slowly building my case for having gardens and not lawns by collecting examples of biodiversity in my suburban front and backyard.

Born and raised in MI, moved to CA in 2008. I've grown passionate about CA native plants and how much beauty can grow in a yard with low-to-no supplemental water. I recently purchased my first macro lens and really trying to get a hang of photographing tiny insect worlds.

So far the community here is amazing. :)
