I am a retired ecologist. My early background was in field ornithology, but most of my professional career was focused on habitat restoration, especially in western Washington forests.

I now volunteer as a naturalist, leading and organizing nature walks in Bridle Trails State Park near Kirkland, WA. I am very interested in local flora and fungi.
