I was born in Spain and I spent 14 years living and studying in California. I moved to Hawai'i in 2008, where I teach Marine Science and Ecology at HPU. My research focuses on the ecology and conservation of marine vertebrates (seabirds, mammals, turtles, predatory fishes) and their oceanic habitats. I love learning about the native flora and fauna of the Hawaiian Islands and studying the ecology of the highly-migratory species that cross the Pacific Ocean.
