I am a former educator and public librarian (now retired) hoping to continue to serve my community as a leader and guide in environmental awareness and education. Currently I am an intern in the Delaware Master Naturalist program.

Prior to college I completed an 8-week Youth Conservation Corps summer program
in Southwestern Pennsylvania. This memorable experience included hands-on training in trail maintenance, invasive species removal, native tree planting, stream deflector construction to enhance fish habitats, and lessons in environmental stewardship. Over the years, in my professional life, I remained committed to developing lesson plans and library programs to encourage care of and curiosity about our natural world.

Since retiring, my husband and I like to explore the local trails in Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland. Our walking adventures have also taken us to Northern Spain in 2016 to complete the 500-mile Camino de Santiago and in 2018 we walked the 200-mile Coast-to-Coast path across England. When not walking, I enjoy a variety of arts and crafts as well as watercolor painting, gardening, and, of course, reading.
