I retired from the clinical practice of veterinary medicine at the end of 2016. Soon after, my wife, Jennifer, and I moved from eastern Pennsylvania to Lowell, Vermont, to a parcel of 140 acres along the Missisquoi River. We are endeavoring to learn the ecology of northern Vermont and enhance biodiversity on our property. I majored in biology at Lafayette College in Easton, PA before attending the University of Rhode Island where I received a masters degree in zoology. My thesis, "Anatomy and Parasitology of Campeloma decisum," regards a freshwater snail of the northeastern U.S. I attended veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania.

Jennifer and I are avid bicyclers and birders, two enjoyments that for too long took a back seat to working life. We look forward to immersing ourselves in the study and propagation of Vermont flora and fauna and being good stewards of our land.
