I have a passion for Oklahoma native wildlife. I am the founder of the Oklahoma Nature Conservation and education initiative, Native Roots Okie.

The goal of this initiative is to help others connect with nature and nurture love and passion for taking care of and appreciating the natural World around us.

My main focus is Monarch Butterflies as a Keystone species. What is good for the Monarch is good for all wildlife. I hope to promote a World where something as delicate as a butterfly can thrive.

I grew up enjoying spending time outdoors and exploring on my home property where I played in creeks and had bees as friends. I have always had an obsession with National Geographic Magazines as they provided a glimpse into other worlds around us.

I previously worked as a Naturalist at Oxley Nature Center where I lived at and managed Redbud Valley Nature Preserve. While at Oxley I also worked to identify plants in Red jds herbarium collection, led interpretive hikes, held workshops to promote Monarch Butterfly conservation, started Oxley Monarch Butterfly Nursery, and held public Monarch Butterfly releases. I have a degree in science and an educational background in Environmental Conservation. I founded RSU Earth Day Expo as well as Claremores Community Pollinator Garden.

If you have a passion for Oklahoma Wildlife then drop me a hello!
