I am a Registered Nurse and I’ve been landscaping for years. In the past five years, ive started a monarch waystation at the place I rent. It’s a duplex with a small yard. I’ve got over 100 milkweed plants, mostly Asclepius tuberosa but also I have showy, one called verticillata I think. I’ve started swapping landscape flowers with natives and nectar plants. I have some established hydrangeas that I may get rid of and replace with natives. I walk a fine line of keeping the place looking nice and neat/clean for the landlord (just don’t look in the backyard).
