Although I have a science education (applied geophysics), I am an amateur observer. I'm focused on insects (primarily dragonflies and butterflies), but I also pay attention to other groups of animals - birds, amphibians and reptiles and more. I have been monitoring species for a long time, especially in protected areas around my place of residence (Chlumec nad Cidlinou, Eastern Bohemia, Czech Republic).
