I’ve liked insects, starting with butterflies, since I was a child. That interest has expanded to other arthropods, plants, and other organisms. This is a hobby rather than a profession. But it’s one about which I’ve been fascinated for almost 30 years.

I also volunteer as a team leader for the Audubon Naturalist Society Water Quality Monitoring Program in Montgomery County, Maryland. That program is a great way to learn, explore, and contribute to the natural environment that borders Washington DC.
