I teach 6th grade science in the greater Los Angeles area. I am a California Naturalist and working toward my Climate Steward Certification. I am starting a project at my school to document the bee (or any pollinator) at our school. My project is "Bees" in the city of Pico Rivera. We have a community garden going and our students are answering the question, "How can we, as a community, produce vegetables in the most productive, practical way that can be eaten year-round?" We will be learning, reading, researching, experimenting, graphing and analyzing our garden and how this will impact climate change.
