Amateur generalist naturalist based in the NE USA

I like seeing cool animals and other wildlife. I am an intermediate birder. I have lots of insect photos. I dabble in botany and mycology too, but my forte is animals.

I mostly ID observations to get them to research grade, to refine, or if they don’t have an ID. I am good with lots of “easy” local IDs (but not all). I am fairly good with birds and mammals. I am okay with herps. I know a bit about some random insects and spiders, and a tiny bit about particular plants and fungi. I am not an expert in anything. I do make mistakes, but I try to be certain.
