I live in Oberlin, OH and work as a software engineer.

I can identify most trees and shrubs in the eastern U.S. (excluding Florida) but I am very weak on mosses, lichens, grasses, and sedges.

My hat is a leather "Driza-Bone" from Sydney, Australia. It has survived 20 years of sun, rain, and being run over by a car in Amsterdam. (Just the hat!)
