I work in TVERC (Thames Valley Environmental Record Centre) involved with local wildlife site surveying in Berkshire.
I used to work on the data side in GCER (Gloucestershire Centre for Environmental Records). Part of Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust in this county.
Local Record Centres collate records of all species as well as habitats and sites. These are then used for conservation and planning in the particular county(s).

I'm still a (voluntary) verifier for Amphibians, Reptiles & Mammals for iRecord [the more widely used platform for species records] in Gloucestershire. From April 2021 records from here were linked with iRecord. So if I start following you it's because I've verified your records.
