I work for the National Park Service, and am the Deputy Superintendent at John Muir National Historic Site, Eugene O'Neill National Historic Site, Port Chicago Naval Magazine National Memorial, and Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park, all in California. I've worked for the NPS for 30 years, primarily in Natural Resources as a Vegetation Ecologist and Prescribed Fire Specialist. I'm also a returned Peace Corps Volunteer, and served in Ecuador where I did species surveys (all taxa) in a number of ecological reserves and national parks there. I have a Masters degree in physical geography and plant ecology from Oregon State University.

I'm good at plant ID and am an avid birder and naturalist.
