I have a 45 year old degree in biology. Things have changed!! I began with an interest in marine biology and even now, when we can, my husband and I dive when we're traveling. Just to see the beauty of a different place. Recently I've concentrated more on birds, plants and animals. I'm currently in the Fall 2020 training class for the Arlington (Virginia) Regional Master Naturalist program.

Originally, I'm from Mattituck, NY, waaaaaay out on the North Fork of Long Island. Went to school in the Finger Lakes area of NY. But... I married a Navy man and off we went. I've lived in Chesapeake, VA; Keflavik, Iceland; Ceiba, Puerto Rico; Honolulu, HI; Brunswick, ME and, now, Arlington VA. But you will see observations from all over the world because my husband and I LOVE to travel and when I travel my camera gets pointed at anything interesting in the environment.

I do have one paper to my name - it was actually published when I was a senior in college. It is Smithsonian Contributions To Zoology, Number 223: Biological Studies of the Bermuda Ocean Acre Planktonic Ostracada.

I use a Nikon D5200 with an 18-140mm zoom lens. For dive shots I use a Canon Power-Shot A620 with an underwater housing.
