I am a postdoctoral research associate at Shedd Aquarium's Daniel P. Haerther Center for Conservation & Research and jointly at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Center for Limnology. My current research involves conservation of Great Lakes migratory fishes (e.g. Lake Whitefish, migratory Northern Pike) and their function in connecting and influencing fluvial (rivers, streams) and lacustrine (lake) ecosystems.

My previous research at the University of Michigan School of Natural Resources & Environment involved conservation ecology of peripheral populations of species (Spotted Gar) and also sustainable aquaculture of air-breathing fishes (e.g. Cuban Gar). I’ve also worked with various agencies (USGS, NOAA, DNR) on other Great Lakes species including Chinook Salmon, Steelhead, Lake Trout, and Bloater.
