In 1980, I began photographing wildflowers and butterflies around my childhood home in south Wales with a 35 mm rangefinder camera. Started jotting down notes about birds soon after, in 1982. In short, interested in all things Nature for as long as I can remember. Veterinarian, parasitologist, molecular biologist and medical school professor, my research interests include parasitic worms and sandflies. Deputy Editor of the Journal of Helminthology (worms baby!).
