I was informed of iNaturalist through taking a CA naturalist course offered in the Fall of 2012 at a local junior college. Previously, I had been sporadically making observations on Project Noah and really enjoyed learning how to identify different species around Santa Rosa. Now, after having trekked through Pepperwood Preserve a few times, I'm even more excited to learn about this world that we live in! It's really great--meeting people of all backgrounds and experiences, and yet who all share a common interest and passion in exploring the world that surrounds us. I'm going to have to work hard to learn all I can so that one day, I can hopefully share the same joy of learning about the outdoors to others, as so many others have generously shared with me.
