Became hooked on fishing through trout fishing in the Appalachian mountains as a child, but eventually found I was more interested in aquatic biodiversity than fishing itself. I use fishing as a form of discovery, exploring aquatic environments as I go. Multi-species angling has never been a numbers game to me, it is simply about appreciating each and every fish while cataloging my catches.
