By profession I am an adjunct professor of physical anthropology and archaeology, but I am interested in all living things to one extent or another. I enjoy photographing as much of the living world around me as I can, so I take as many opportunities to photograph everything from insects to spiders, to reptiles and birds, to flowers and geology and mammalian wildlife - you never know what will show up on my camera's memory card. If I photograph it, I want to know more about it - it's just in my nature (so to speak). So as time passes, I will be posting images of all sorts of things here, hoping to learn more, and also to help people who are interested in using my contributions to further their studies of the critters and plants that I have observed.
