I was born in Holland but raised in Southern Spain. From an early age, I developed a very strong interest in biodiversity and science, a passion that motivated me to pursue an academic career. For many years, I balanced a full-time job as a cancer researcher with my hobbies of wildlife art and nature photography. I also love travelling and exploring the great outdoors, preferably off the beaten track. After working in the UK for 7 years, I moved to Stockholm, Sweden. In 2021, I completed the cycle by returning to Spain.
