We have been kaitiaki (guardians) of 5 acres of regenerating native bush with some mature rimu, kaihikatea, kanuka and a pristine tributary source of the Kumeu River for 44 years. This has included continuous possum and rat baiting, planting a lot of totara, taraire, kowhai, puka, wineberry, pururi, kumarahou and hebe species.

I have a BSc in Ecology and my husband has a BSc geology so we are both very interested in all aspects of nature and lovers of photography to record anything interesting both on our 10 acre block and on overseas trips.
