Spreading, diffuse, much-branched shrub to 30 cm high and up to 1 m long. Young shoots reddish, sparsely short pubescent. Leaflets glabrous, green, subulate-acicular, yellow-tipped. Standard front and wings golden yellow, keel densely hairy, tip beaked. Back of standard hairy with a purple mid-rib. Calyx purplish. Sandy soil.
