Description

Small snake of about 30cm in length, which should make this specimen a juvenile. Mildly venomous and rear-fanged - not dangerous to humans. The head features a pale snout, an interocular pale band, and another one behind the head; the V-shaped marking gives this genus the common name, resembling a lyre. This fits the description of T. tau tau. Body is light greyish brown with dark bands; these bands have orangy brown markings and a white outline.
