A small sea spider that reaches only 1 cm across. It parasitizes the pink soft coral Alcyonium sp. (the Pacific coast soft coral that is often incorrectly identified as Gersemia rubiformis). Large infestations can cause noticeable damage to the surface of the soft coral colony.
