The taxonomy of this species is currently under consideration (Dr J.W.Winter pers comm; also see comments in Van Dyke & Strahan (2008) Mammals of Australia 3rd Edition, pp 680-1). This specimen was eating the unripe seeds of Benstonea monticola (Pandanaceae).
