The Turkey Wing, Arca zebra (Swainson, 1833), is a common bivalve found from North Carolina to Brazil, and in the Gulf of Mexico.
The shell shown here was photographed at the Texas State Aquarium, but there was no information about its provenance or collection date. Therefore, the date I'm posting is when i photographed it. Also, I'm plotting on the map a general location where I have found other shells of this species, albeit not as nice as this.
