Description

Stipe and indusium (veil) yellow, spongy in texture. Cap orange, pitted, with foul smelling glebal slime (containing the spores) distributed within the pits. Immature form a whitish egg, anchored to the substrate by one or more root like strands of mycelium (rhizomorphs). Remnants of the egg form a cup-like volva at the base of the stipe.
