Asplenium varians subsp. fimbriatum

Sporadic ferns, seldom common. Rarely grows terrestrially on shaded earth banks. Fronds tufted. Lamina ovate to lanceolate; 2-pinnatifid to 2-pinnate, pinnae lobes obovate to spathulate, acroscopic lobes usually free; lobe margins sharpley toothed to shallowley incised. Sori linear to oval; indusium erose.
