Description

Dracophilus dealbatus


A perennial compact dwarf succulent that can grow up to 15cm high. The leaves are slightly triangular in section, sometimes cylindrical, smooth with a waxy skin, are light brown, mostly blue-green with the tips pink tinted. Flowers can be light pink to dark purple, grows to 2.5cm in diameter and opens at night. The wooden fruit capsules has 12-13 locules that opens when whet to spread the seeds. Wooden fruit capsules disintegrates quickly.
