Description

Fluffy Honeybush

Growing in seasonally moist sand in a small remnant of lowland sandstone fynbos. Only three individuals counted here, one of which is very old (stem diameter >10 cm) and approaching senescence. Not too sure of veld age (>8 yrs), but it could probably do with a bit of fire. Invasive alien plants are a threat, including pines, wattles, Brazilian peppers and cherry guavas (most of these were cleared during our last visit). Listed as Critically Endangered.
