better heartspider
same species as http://www.ispotnature.org/node/799078 , observed previously at the same location, but this time the spider was more obliging plus my new camera takes much better close-ups. The sandy coloured abdomen is well camouflaged but the white legs clearly standout against the red soil, especially when the spider moves. I'm moving toward the opinion that this spider may be a red morph of the dark grey Zenonina albocaudata. The white spot above or behind the spinnerets is clearly visible in this observation.
