Common Oriental Lampshell (Lingula anatina)

Description

This specimen was picked up at Dongho beach, Jeollabuk-do, South Korea in January 21, 2022. It’s a shell of juvenile Lingula anatina. Lingula anatina is a brachiopod species that lives in West and South muds in Korea. It buries itself inside mud and move using its peduncle.
