Description
fireweed, Chamerion angustifolium subsp. circumvagum, Nevada, White Mountains, Middle Creek, Fishlake Valley drainage, elevation 2725 m (8940 ft).
One of the most familiar late-season wildflowers throughout the Northern Hemisphere, extending south from Arctic latitudes in both Eurasia and North America in moist to wet areas of the cooler and higher mountains.
