Description

We had some extensive discussion about the identity of this moth at http://www.inaturalist.org/observations/2356269 and http://www.inaturalist.org/observations/2356248. The most significant feature separating this individual from an Eight-spotted Forester is the bulge on the costa subtended by a hyaline patch. The relevant resources we uncovered are as follows:
