Blue Point Pyrg (Pyrgulopsis coloradensis)

Observer

Date

November 2018

Description

I’m identifying the very small and less coiled snails.

Blue Point Pyrg is known from the type locality which is a small thermal (30 degrees C) rheocrene or spring (Hershler 1998).

A viable population at the single known occurrence was last seen in 1992, and considered possibly extinct, until it was rediscovered in 2007 and 2008.
