Description

Lamprogaster ?laeta
Identified as Lamprogaster relucens on Bowerbird by Tony D.: "You are right, not quite the same as L. laeta. L. relucens is very similar but in L. laeta the wings have the middle dark spot reaching down from the costa over the r-m crossvein much thicker and triangular (instead of narrow here), the scutellum is with some shiny black area, either apically or broadly so, and the black central portion of the mesoscutum has the middle pruinescent stripe distinct but the lateral stripes not so. L. hilaris is most similar to L. relucens but is said to have the scutellum brownish laterally and the pruinescence of the dark section of the mesoscutum practically reaching the scutellum (McAlpine 1972)."
