Trunk anole of the A. distichus group; identifiable from sympatric populations of Bark Anole (A. distichus s.s.) by the distinct black nuchal patch with white border and the bicolored (yellow and orange) dewlap; the remaining congeners with black neck patch (A. caudalis, A. marron and A. websteri are restricted to Haiti [see Arnold 1980 (https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/page/3189659#page/531/mode/1up) and http://www.anoleannals.org/the_species/anolis-distichus/].
