Description

This guy was spotted by my little brother when we went to Goliad State Park last year the day after we saw the Kemp Ridley Sea Turtle release at Padré Island National Seashore. This snake was long skinny and very fast. If my brother didn't yell snake I would have missed him completely. He was about six foot or so give or take a foot. He was mainly brownish tan colored with light patches. He was very quick to get away from me but was a very beautiful snake. This is one I share to Facebook but failed to upload to my nature sites. I am logging it in now though. These guys are none venomous and are pretty neat to watch. But you have to be quick or they will escape just as quickly as they came. I don't have many reptile encounters but when I do I get real excited.
