Irregular-crowned tree to 7 metres tall. Bark rough throughout, flaky, orange-brown. Leaves setose, very slightly glossy, slightly blue-green. Growing on low rise with Corymbia dallachiana, Eucalyptus drepanophylla and E. shirleyi.
