Voucher specimen D.Nicolle 5933 & M.E.French.

Thin-stemmed mallee to 4 metres tall, but mostly <2 metres tall on summit. Bark mostly smooth throughout, grey over cream. Flowers mostly red, some paler and possibly hybrids. Dominant here on slopes and summit of rhyolite hill, with some Eucalyptus socialis subsp. socialis and Allocasuarina verticillata.
